Commercial CCTV installation in Auckland

Camera systems that capture usable footage where it matters: docks, yards, entries, car parks and tills. Designed, installed and supported by Com4 from Penrose.

Footage you can actually use

The most common CCTV problem we see is not a missing camera. It is a camera that records something you cannot use: a face lost in backlight at a roller door, a number plate blurred by motion at night, or a yard that is pitch black after 6pm. Good CCTV starts with what each camera needs to achieve, whether that is detecting, observing, recognising or identifying, and then picks the lens, position and lighting to match.

What we install

  • IP cameras: fixed domes, turrets, bullets and PTZ cameras for large yards and docks
  • Network video recorders and video management software, sized for your retention period
  • Licence plate capture at gates and car park entries where it is justified
  • Remote viewing on phones and PCs with individual user accounts
  • PoE switching, UPS backup and tidy rack or cabinet installs
  • Integration with access control and alarms, so events link to video

Enterprise CCTV with Nx Witness

Managed Nx Witness servers are designed for intuitive, seamless monitoring of critical licence plate events, so you can efficiently oversee access and security. Our solutions also include robust perimeter security features, with timely alerts and comprehensive logging. Larger sites can also run CCTV on Genetec Security Center alongside access control and alarms.

Cloud video storage

We provide and maintain secure cloud storage, making video retention easy and reliable, from 7 to 180 days. See service, maintenance and monitoring.

Recent CCTV work includes 30+ cameras at MPI Hub Auckland and Sylvia Park Galleria.

Designed around the Privacy Act

CCTV footage of people is personal information under the Privacy Act 2020. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner recommends working out your purpose before you install, telling people with clear signage, avoiding audio unless it is genuinely necessary, limiting who can access footage, keeping it only as long as you need it and being ready to respond when someone asks for footage of themselves. We set systems up to make that easy: sensible camera angles, audio off by default, individual logins and a defined retention period.

Network and cyber security

Cameras are network devices. We keep them on their own network segment, change default passwords, keep firmware current and avoid exposing recorders directly to the internet. If you have an IT provider, we work with them on VLANs, remote access and bandwidth.

Typical sites

Warehouses and distribution centres: docks, yards, perimeter and high-value storage. Retail and trade counters: entries, tills and stock areas. Offices and schools: entries, car parks and reception. Construction and fit-outs: permanent systems installed as part of the build.

Taking over an existing system

If your current recorder is out of support or the installer has moved on, we can assess the cameras and cabling, reuse what is sound and replace what is not.
